Benjamin Picart graduated as an electrical engineer (Telecoms & Multimedia) in 2009 from the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons (FPMs), Belgium. He performed his Master's Thesis within Idiap Research Institute (EPFL, Switzerland) in the field of Automatic Speech Recognition (February - June 2009). He obtained his PhD degree in Applied Sciences in October 2013, for his research on the analysis and HMM-based synthesis of hypo and hyperarticulated speech. His research interests focus on signal processing theory and its applications to speech processing.
