Alexis Moinet holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the FPMs (2005). He did his master thesis at the T.J. Watson research Center of IBM.

He is currently working as a PhD student on new methods for time-stretching of audio generated during sport events. This will enable viewers to watch slow-motion videos with synchronous time-stretched quality-preserved sound. This work is supported by a public-private partnership between University of Mons and EVS Broadcast Equipment SA, Belgium.

He is interested in audio processing, especially speech analysis and synthesis.
